Dr. Jeff Nunley
Veterinarian
Jefferson Nunley, DVM, DACVS-SA, was born and raised in Durham, North Carolina. He graduated from Vanderbilt University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. After graduation, Dr. Nunley returned to Durham, where he cemented his goal of becoming a veterinary surgeon while working as an assistant in a mobile veterinary surgical practice.
Dr. Nunley then enrolled at the University of California’s Davis Veterinary School, graduating with a DVM degree in 2011. This four-year program confirmed his desire to become a veterinary surgeon. After graduating, he accepted a one-year small animal rotating internship at Michigan State University.
For the past decade, Dr. Nunley has been dedicated to sharpening his surgical skills, mastering complex procedures, and ensuring that many pets can access advanced care that might not otherwise be available.
After successfully completing his residency in 2015, Dr. Nunley moved back to Nashville, Tennessee, with his wife and children and opened Tennessee Veterinary Surgical Specialists, his mobile specialty surgery practice.
Outside of the operating room, Dr. Nunley can be found at a football game (Preferably Titans or Duke) with his three sons, Crews, Locke, and Byrne.
Dr. Nunley, his wife Abby, their daughter Phebe, and their three sons, Byrne, Locke, and Crews, enjoy traveling or just enjoying good-quality lake life at their home on Tim’s Ford Lake.

Dr. Goodin became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2011.
Outside of work, Dr. Goodin enjoys spending time with his wife, Ashley, and their three children, Emma, Eli, and Easton. Dr. Goodin can often be found spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, and training retrievers.
